Interviews are a really important part of our application process...especially for students who are international, [because] an interview is the only time you get that face to face interaction [since admissions officers] may not get to visit your high school, we may not get to have that same level of personal part of our review process that we do with some of our domestic students who we get to see along the way.

There are a couple of different ways to interview. You can interview through Wash U and you can interview through other opportunities like Vericant. We would encourage you if you are interested, to seek out those opportunities to interview...We would encourage you to find those opportunities because it really helps. I am the admissions officer who reads applications that are coming from China, and [I] remember the interviews way after you finish the application because people’s voices often stick with [me], so it can be a really impactful piece.
